A key component of Brandywine's mission is active support of the communities in which we do business. This core principle is fully embraced by corporate management, as well as all employees, through service initiatives and corporate financial support.
- Corporate Philanthropy
Brandywine's corporate giving program distributes donations to organizations that enhance education and support the arts, deliver health and outreach services to families, and forward environmental stewardship.
- Employee Volunteering — "Day of Caring"
Brandywine employees demonstrate social consciousness through regular participation in civic, charitable and volunteer efforts across the nation. During our Day of Caring events, Brandywine employees work in their communities sharing time, talent and dollars with those who need help. They regularly donate time and effort to repair facilities, organize and stock food pantries, tutor children and adults, clean up public spaces, and more.
- Matching Gift Program
Brandywine matches 50% of personal charitable contributions made by employees up to $1,000 per employee per year. The charity must be classified as tax exempt 501(c)(3) of the IRS code and falls into one of the following categories: Health and Human Services, Arts and Culture, Civic and Community, or Educational Funds.
- Executives Lead Charitable Initiatives
Brandywine provides additional philanthropic support through leadership endeavors. Many of our officers serve on non-profit boards or actively participate in community affairs and are involved in charitable initiatives in their respective regions.
- Volunteer Time Off
Brandywine has recently implemented a "Volunteer Time Off" policy for its employees. This benefit provides employees up to 3 days of paid time-off to volunteer at a charitable non-profit organization of their choice.
