Diversity and Inclusion: Brandywine Realty Trust: Community Partnerships

Community Partnerships

Promoting inclusion, involvement and support within the communities where we live and work are key components of Brandywine's corporate mission. They are the foundation for our belief that improving the lives of people in our communities makes us all stronger and better at the jobs we do every day. Our leadership team serves on Boards for multiple not-for-profit organizations—donating time, money and expertise to support various organizations geared toward improving our communities.

Day of Caring

Brandywine encourages all of our employees to participate in company-wide "Days of Caring" that allow large groups of employees to give back to the community through the use of paid time-off during a normal workday.

Volunteer Time Off

Brandywine has recently implemented a new "Volunteer Time Off" Policy for its employees. This benefit provides employees up to 3 days of paid time-off to volunteer at a charitable non-profit organization of their choice.

Our on-going partnership with organizations such as the Cristo Rey School and the Philadelphia Outward Bound School are examples of our commitment to improving the education of our youth and investing in their futures in order to better our communities.

Cristo Rey School Program

Brandywine partners with the Philadelphia Cristo Rey School program each year, not only with financial contributions but also through providing meaningful internships to minority high school students in Philadelphia. The internships open up greater opportunities for these students, including the ability to obtain a quality education, graduate high school and attend college. One of our most recent interns was granted a fully paid scholarship to college upon graduation—an opportunity that might not have otherwise been possible without receiving the education from the Cristo Rey School.

Outward Bound School Program

Brandywine supports the Philadelphia Outward Bound School and their annual fundraiser, "Building Adventures," where participants raise money for the opportunity to repel down the side of a skyscraper. We've hosted several "Building Adventures" at our Philadelphia properties. All funds raised benefit the Outward Bound School, which offers educational leadership and development courses for students of all ages based on expeditionary learning.
