Anna May Abbott, PhD joined Brandywine in 2018, and she serves as Vice President of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion with responsibility and oversight of Brandywine’s HR strategy, initiatives and programs. She oversees the HR team in developing strategies for talent, performance engagement, performance management, leadership development programs, diversity & inclusion as well as the vendor/supplier program.
Prior to joining Brandywine, Anna May was Sr. HR Director of Operations Excellence, Lab Operations and Procurement for Quest Diagnostics where she was responsible for the national HR strategy. During her 16 years with Quest Diagnostics she held a variety of leadership roles including HR Director of International, HR Director Commercial, Sr. HR Manager Sales and Marketing, and Manager of Leadership and Employee Services.
She is a member of the Philadelphia Society of People & Strategy (PSPS), Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Anna May earned a B.S. and M.S. from Cabrini University and PhD from Walden University. Her dissertation was titled "Effects of Influence on Perceived Leadership Effectiveness and Employee Engagement."
